PAC adds manufacturing capacity in Berea, OH

Manufacturer of bagging and shrink wrap systems for the packaging industry, will add product development and manufacturing capacity to its existing Berea facility.

San Rafael, CA, and Berea, OH (September 20, 2016) – PAC Machinery, a leader in the heat sealing and flexible packaging industry, announced today that they have broken ground on their new Clamco product development and manufacturing facility expansion. The 26,000-square-foot expansion adds needed manufacturing capacity to their existing sales, product development and manufacturing facility in Berea, Ohio. PAC Machinery VP Marketing, Greg Berguig said: “The demand for Clamco shrink wrapping equipment and automatic baggers has been growing steadily, and our Berea, Ohio facility offered the most logical location to add manufacturing capability.” Additional manufacturing facilities are located in Wisconsin and California. “Our strategy is to concentrate our packaging industry expertise in key locations, where product development, manufacturing, and sales teams can work together more closely,” adds Berguig.

Expansion to bring needed opportunity to the community

It is estimated that the Clamco expansion will add nearly thirty jobs over the next three to five years. Clamco expects the company will retain some of the highly skilled employees who will lose their Berea-area jobs as a result of the impending shutdown of a local manufacturing concern.Clamco_factory
