3 long time packaging machinery companies have joined together to form PAC Machinery Group. Member companies are Vertrod which was founded in 1947 and was the creator of thermal impulse sealing; Audion Automation which was founded in 1959 to make rollbag, shrink and skin packaging machines; and Packaging Aids Corporation which has manufactured vacuum gas flush sealers, vacuum chambers, and form fill seal machines since 1962.
Why did the four companies combine?
The three machine manufacturing companies joined together in 2001 to bring together their long standing expertise in their respective packaging specialties. Since many customers have a variety of packaging needs, this makes it easy for them to find the right machine in one place. In January 2005, Converting Technology Inc. joined the group so that we could provide "one-stop shopping" for our customers. Now we can provide bags for their machines.
Where are the companies located?
Audion Automation is in Carrollton, Texas which is near Dallas. It is the manufacturing facility for all Audion Automation and Vertrod machines.
Converting Technology Inc. is in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin which is near Milwaukee. Packaging Aids Corporation is located at corporate headquarters in San Rafael, California which is across the bay from San Francisco. All gas flush sealers and form fill seal machines are made in San Rafael.
Vertrod is run out of corporate headquarters in San Rafael, CA although the machines are manufactured and shipped out of Carollton, TX.
How many employees are there?
We have about 30 employees each in California and Texas. Many of them have been with the companies over 15 years. Converting Technology Inc. has about 10 employees.
How do I know which packaging machine manufacturer I want?
Audion Automationis the company to choose when you need to shrink or skin wrap your product. It's also the company for you if you want to package a product using an automatic bag-on-a-roll system. Packaging Aids Corp. manufactures packaging machines for the food and medical industries. So if you need a band sealer, form-fill-seal machine, MAP Tray & Cup sealer, vacuum chamber, or vacuum gas/flush sealer, this is the company to choose. Vertrod specializes in heavy duty thermal impulse heat sealers for medical and other applications. So if it's a big or difficult job, Vertrod is the place to go.
