Use a Sato Printer with Zebra Driver on Rollbag Auto Baggers for Poly Mailer Shipping

This video highlights the Sato label printer that is integrated to the Rollbag R785 auto bagger, being used with a Zebra print driver. In this case the Sato label printer is set to ZPL mode and functions as a direct replacement for a Zebra printer. Connection can be done in a variety of ways. If the Zebra printer is on the network then the Sato printer is set to ZPL mode and the IP address is set to be the same as the Zebra printer. In another implementation where the Zebra printer is connected via USB, the driver can be changed to use the TCP/IP port with a static IP address and then the Sato printer is either directly connected to the computer’s ethernet port or to a network switch. Regardless, the IP address of the printer is set to match the IP address of the port on the Zebra driver. Finally, and highlighted in the video, a USB print server can be installed on the network or directly to the computer’s ethernet port. In this case the Zebra label printer or the Sato label printer can be connected interchangeable via USB to the print server. This set-up works great on several of our auto baggers, including our Rollbag R3200 & R3200XL Fulfillment auto baggers.
