Heavy-Duty Drop Sealer
The Vertrod BSL is a heavy-duty drop sealer with an overhead cylinder to allow for added jaw and product clearance. The BSL drop sealer can be equipped with an optional air expeller assembly for compressing flexible packages, eliminating excess air, and reducing overall package volume. The direct drive jaw motion provides high sealing pressure and is capable of making airtight/watertight seals with temperatures ranging from 200°F to 650°F. The BSL employs PAC’s state of the art solid-state control circuitry along with an improved safety system.
Vertrod drop sealers are built for the most demanding requirements to decrease overall packaging time. This model is often used in conjunction with a bag opener to speed up the bag loading process. The filled bag is fed through the sealing jaws to an angled outfeed table where the bottom of the bag is supported. A photocell detects when the product is in position, activating the air expeller assembly to compress and force air out of the package. An adjustable timer allows for varying the jaw closure independent of the air expeller to ensure maximum compression and evacuation of air prior to initiating the sealing cycle. Once the sealing cycle has ended, the support fingers retract, allowing the sealed bag to slide from the out-feed table. Simultaneously, the jaws open allowing the next filled bag to be fed. The Vertrod BSL is adjustable for intermittent use by a foot pedal or palm button as well.
