PAC Machinery Expands Stock Bag Line and Introduces Advanced Protective Rollbag Material

Milwaukee, WI – (3-30-26) — PAC Machinery, a leader in packaging solutions, is pleased to announce two major additions to its bag and materials portfolio: the expansion of its stock bag lineup with new heavier-gauge options, and the introduction of a high-performance rollbag material engineered for corrosion prevention and permanent electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection. These bags are for use on automatic bagging machines including the PAC Machinery Rollbag brand of auto baggers.

“These additions reflect what we’re seeing across the market—customers need packaging that performs under tougher conditions while supporting automation and product protection,” said Greg Quinn, General Manager of PAC Machinery Bags and Materials. “From heavy-duty industrial applications to sensitive electronic components, we’re continuing to expand solutions that help our customers package with confidence.”

Expanded Stock Bag Offerings for Demanding Applications

In response to increasing demand for stronger, more durable packaging, PAC Machinery is expanding its stock bag offerings effective April 1. The new lineup includes seven heavier-gauge bag options designed specifically for customers packaging rugged and heavy products on automatic bagging systems.

The new bags are categorized as:

  • Super – 3 mil (3ML)
  • Extreme – 4 mil (4ML)

Available in sizes ranging from 5″ x 7″ to 9″ x 12.5″, these additions broaden the range of applications suitable for automated bagging across multiple industries.

3ML (Super) Bags are ideal for:

  • Shipping abrasive or rough-edged items
  • Industrial parts and hardware
  • Components such as nuts, bolts, hinges, wire, and cables

4ML (Extreme) Bags are designed for:

  • Extra heavy-duty protection in demanding environments
  • Products with protruding edges and sharp profiles
  • Tools and industrial items such as wrenches, pliers, locks, grinding wheels, and drills

New Rollbag Material with Built-In Corrosion Protection and Permanent ESD

PAC Machinery is also introducing a new advanced Rollbag material designed to protect sensitive components—particularly electronics requiring long-term storage.

This innovative material combines permanent electrostatic dissipative (ESD) properties with Vapor Phase Corrosion Inhibitors (VpCI), delivering dual protection in a single packaging solution.

Unlike traditional pink antistatic materials, which typically have a shelf life of 3–6 months, this new film provides consistent, long-term static control. The integrated VpCI technology actively protects metal components and silver-plated connectors from rust and corrosion—eliminating the need for additional desiccants inside the package.

Material features include:

  • Permanent ESD protection for extended storage
  • Built-in corrosion prevention for metal components
  • Available in opaque or tinted film options
  • Offered as printed or plain pre-opened rollbags
  • Custom sizes available for automated bagging systems

Ideal applications include:

  • Electronics and electronic assemblies
  • Aerospace and aviation components
  • Cleanroom environments
  • Fiber optics and precision manufacturing
  • Pharmaceutical and controlled industries
